Pink Shirt Day
On February 18th we marked the Anti-Bullying Day better known as the Pink Shirt Day. Our homeroom teachers held the prevention workshops designed by our social pedagogue. Through various activities, the students communicated on the attributes of a good friend and the very meaning of friendship, developed skills in expressing their feelings and standing up for themselves and learned the ways of reacting in conflict.
The MYP2 students identified and tried to understand the risk factors that could contribute to youth violence and protective factors that could reduce the risk of violence. We learnt that practising politeness, kindness and empathy are the best ways to prevent bullying.
