A unique walk through Zagreb
Our students had a unique opportunity to travel back in time and get to know the city of Zagreb and its past. The students were divided into smaller groups, and each group received its tablet. We walked around the city centre, visited famous and important monuments, squares and places, and when we got to a certain place, the year important for that place was shown on the tablet. In addition, the tablet contained a story about that place or monument and a task. The most exciting thing for us was taking photos with different interesting filters.
We started our tour in front of the fountain Manduševac on Ban Jelačić square and finished it in Ilica.
We learned that Manduševac got its name from a woman called Manda and was built in 1312, who were Barbara Celjska, kumica Barica and many more. For the youngest students, the most fun part of the tour was the witch hunt, which is very important for Zagreb's past and about which many stories were written by the famous author Marija Jurić Zagorka.
This was an interesting and unique tour and we recommend it to you all! You can check how it went in the gallery. :)
