After two long years, International Community Day has finally been back to school. This year's logo was "Let's have a festive celebration of cultures, traditions, and heritage!" and we had it, indeed.

During this event, we had the opportunity to learn about school diversity through costumes, music, languages, and delicious food. You could have even experienced Zimbabwean tribal face painting. All this was presented by our proud students and their supportive parents who were eager to represent their country with pride and joy.

This year we had representatives from 19 countries: Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, China, Croatia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kosovo, Kuwait, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA and Zimbabwe. Our guest students from the USA had the opportunity to present their country and tell us something about Minnesota, too.

The entire Matija Gubec Team would like to express our sincere thanks to all the parents and students who participated in the event as well as those who came and showed interest and willingness to learn something new about other people's traditions and delicacies.
