Visit to the Ethnographic Museum
On December 13th the School Co-Op Team and national programme students visited the ‘Kinč is not kitsch’ exhibition at the Ethnographic Museum.
First we took a tour of the Ethnographic Museum to see exhibits related to the folk culture of Croatia and get to know how people used to live 100-200 years ago. We saw traditional costumes from various parts of Croatia, folk instruments, jewellery, pottery and other examples of folk handicrafts.
Under the expert guidance the students participated in the Kinch making workshop where they made paper flowers while learning about recognizable traditional elements of decorating the greenery in the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
It was really fun to learn how to make decorations out of paper which inspired us to decorate our Christmas trees this year in a completely new way.
