Students Explore Šibenik and the Dalmatian Islands
During 11–13 May 2026, students from PYP0, PYP1, and PYP2 enjoyed a memorable three-day educational field trip to Solaris in Šibenik. Staying at Hotel Andrija, students took part in a variety of exciting activities that combined learning, exploration, and fun.
Upon arrival, students settled into the resort, enjoyed lunch, and spent the afternoon participating in activities such as mini golf, followed by dinner and evening entertainment at the hotel disco.
The second day was dedicated to exploring the beautiful islands of the Šibenik archipelago. Students travelled by boat to Prvić Island, where they visited the Faust Vrančić Memorial Center and learned about the life and inventions of the famous Croatian inventor.
Afterward, the group continued to Zlarin Island for lunch and a visit to the Croatian Coral Center, where students discovered the island’s long tradition of coral harvesting through an engaging presentation.
On the final day, students visited Etnoland Dalmati near Drniš and Krka National Park. They explored the traditional ethno village, toured Didova Kuća (Grandfather’s House), and experienced an impressive 360-degree multimedia presentation that brought Dalmatian rural life from the past to life.
The trip concluded with a traditional homemade lunch prepared using local ingredients and old recipes before the students returned to Zagreb.
The field trip provided students with valuable educational experiences, opportunities to strengthen friendships, and many wonderful memories.
