Transitioning to Online Learning MYP
Dear Students and Parents,
Greetings from the school! We hope you are all feeling well and ready to start our online learning journey.
The online classes in the MYP programme will start tomorrow, on March 17th according to the regular timetable, but not in the real time frame. The teachers will prepare and post the assignments on the Microsoft Teams platform by 10 o’clock the latest according to the timetable that day (unless we encounter some problems with servers). The students are expected to plan their time in such a way that they work on classes that are scheduled for the day and that they manage to meet all deadlines.
The students will be required to complete their school assignments uploaded in the virtual classroom by the deadline posted by the teacher. All their work will be monitored and considered equal to their work at regular lessons. The students will get regular feedback from their teachers to support their learning.
All students know the rules in a regular classroom, but they are not quite sure what to expect in this new virtual world. Therefore we set up the Virtual Classroom Rules that explain both:
- rules of communication within virtual classrooms
- some specific guidelines how to manage online learning in the Microsoft Teams that we are using as an online learning platform.
In case you didn’t manage to activate your account, we would like to kindly remind you to register using the Carnet (e-Classbook) login details. In case you are not able to register and log in, the servers may be temporary unavailable or too busy, so try to be patient and persistent until CARNet solves these problems.
In case the servers remain too busy or overloaded in the following days, the teachers will send the course materials and learning tasks to the parents by email.
Be well and stay healthy!
